Fix for Life

Fix for Life  is a spay/neuter clinic that will be dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation  in Wilson and surrounding counties by providing high volume, high quality,  low-cost sterilization services.  Spay/Neuter services will be offered to shelters, rescue groups as well as the general public. We  are planning to open in May of 2008.  Our goal is to decrease the need  for the surrender of unwanted animals to shelters as well as the euthanasia of  healthy animals.  Click here to visit the future home of the Fix for Life website and to sign up for email  updates about the clinic.

Click HERE to adopt a classroom!Kind News - Adopt A Classroom

The Humane Association of Wilson County has provided every elementary school classroom in the Wilson County School District with Kind News for the last 5 school years and again for the 2008-2009 school year. Kind News is an award winning classroom newspaper that features articles, activities, puzzles and celebrity interviews that teach children the importance of treating people, animals and the environment with kindness and respect. Teaching children basic values with a focus on humaneness and conservation not only helps shape responsible citizens but is also one of the most far reaching ways we can help solve animal related problems in our community.

We want to provide this humane education tool again for the 2007-2008 school year and need your support. You can adopt a classroom for the entire school year for a mere $30 contribution. Each $30 contribution you make provides a teacher and students with Kind News, which includes 9 monthly issues, September through May. Each issue comes with a teachers guide and 32 copies of the newspaper.

Adopt a Classroom now by clicking on the donate button below.

Please help the environment and homeless animals by bringing us your aluminum cans. HAWC recycles all year long. The money raised from recycled cans goes directly back into operating the shelter. We also recycle newspaper, inkjet cartridges, toner, and cell phones.

For more information call 444-1144.
Please tell your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to recycle their aluminum cans by bringing them to the Humane Association of Wilson County.
